Meadery Map is a directory of meaderies in the United States at meaderymap.com. These terms cover what we list, how owners can update a listing, what a Claimed listing is, and the photos owners add. Questions go to hello@meaderymap.com.
Where listing details come from
Listings are built from public Google Business Profile data. Each page shows the date that data was collected, and we collect it again every quarter. Ratings and review counts are Google's, not reviews we gathered. Listing a meadery is free and does not need the owner's permission, the same way a guidebook does not.
Updating a listing
Anyone can email us a correction, free. An owner can also make changes directly: once we have confirmed the listing is theirs, by an email at the business's own domain or a tag on its website, they can change the opening hours, phone number and address, and clear a temporarily closed notice. That is free too, and it does not depend on a Claimed listing.
Only update a listing for a business you run, and only with details that are true. We keep a record of every change, and we will undo any change we believe is wrong or was not made by the business.
Claimed listings
A Claimed listing costs $199 a year, paid through Stripe, and renews each year until it is cancelled. We never see your card details. Only an owner who has confirmed the listing is theirs can claim it. A Claimed listing adds your own photos, a link to your website on your state page, the top spot on that page above unclaimed listings, and a Claimed marker.
To cancel, use "Manage or cancel" on your listing's update page, or email hello@meaderymap.com. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your Claimed listing runs to the end of the year you paid for. When a Claimed listing ends the listing goes back to the free version; it is never hidden or removed.
We do not promise any amount of traffic, any search ranking, or any number of visitors sent to your business.
Your photos
By uploading a photo to your listing, you confirm that:
- you took it, or you have the right to share it;
- it shows your business, your drinks, or your premises; and
- anyone who can be identified in it has agreed to it being published.
You keep ownership of your photos. You give Meadery Map permission, free of charge and not exclusive to us, to store them, resize and crop them, and show them on your listing and in the preview that appears when someone shares your listing's page, for as long as they are on your listing.
You can remove a photo from your listing at any time, and removing it deletes it from our storage. If your Claimed listing ends, we stop showing your photos but keep them, so they come back if you renew. Email us any time to have them deleted for good.
We may take down any photo that does not show your business, that is misleading, or that we are told infringes someone else's rights.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, this page changes and the date at the top moves. Anything that affects Claimed listings will be stated here before it takes effect.
