Nordic Moon Meadery is Connecticut's first dedicated meadery, producing fine honey wine in a spectrum of flavors, sweetness levels, and strengths. Co-founders Kevin West and Richard Gummoe were carrying on a friendly exchange of homemade alcoholic beverages that spanned over 2 decades. In 2015, a gift of mead from Kevin prompted Richard to comment on the possibility of a meadery in Connecticut. Shortly thereafter, Nordic Moon Meadery was born. 2016 and 2017 turned into fundraising years. By 2018, the first vats of mead were bubbling away in a magical transformation of honey into alcoholic mead! The first four products hit the shelves of Connecticut's retail stores in the fall of 2018. Now visit our tap room!
